Viewing Live Broadcasts on Veetle
On Computers
Video Window
Power button - stop and start the viewing of the broadcast- Volume control - adjust volume controls
- Lights - dim the background
- Aspect Ratio - on some devices your aspect ratio may need to be adjusted for better viewing. Click this button to toggle between aspect ratios.
- Expand - toggle between inset in the browser or expanded in the browser window.
- Full screen view - expand to full screen. Press Esc key to exit.
- HD toggle button - the default view is HD (high definition) for viewers who have installed the plugin. All other viewers will be able to view the broadcast in SD (standard definition) using Flash.
If you are on an older Mac, Windows or Linux PC and having difficulty viewing a video, try downloading the "watch" plug-in from our download page. Mobile viewers on iPhone will not need a plug-in. Android users will need to have mobile Flash Player from Adobe installed. If you are on a newer version of the Mac OS, be sure to download the Adobe Flash Player for your browser.
Comments / Channels section
Comments - You can comment on a broadcast by logging in with your Veetle account, Twitter or Facebook account. Common decency rules apply.- Channels - Browse live content on other Veetle channels.
Communicating
Flag - You can flag content as inappropriate or as spam. You must be logged in with a Veetle account to send a flag.- Share via social buttons - Log in with Facebook or Twitter and you can instantly share broadcasts with friends and family.
- Broadcaster - This link will take you the detailed broadcaster page.
- Schedule - This area displays a list of upcoming events from the broadcaster.
- Share - URL: Copy and paste link to share the URL. Embed: This code can be used to embed the broadcasting video in your blog or website. Click the gear icon to the right of the code to select dimensions and aspect ratio
On Mobile Browsers and the Mobile App
iOS / Apple Devices
We use the native Apple video player on mobile devices.
- Skip back 30 seconds in the broadcast
- Play / Pause playing of the broadcast
- Fast forward - not active for Veetle live broadcasts
- Volume control
If you are having difficulty viewing a video in the app, please try it from your mobile browser.
Android Devices
Android users will need the Adobe mobile Flash Player to view videos.
- Power button - stop / start the playing of the broadcast
- Volume - adjust the volume of the playback
- Aspect ratio - adjust the aspect ratio of the broadcast for optimal playback
- Full screen - Switch to full screen mode
